How to Evaluate a Local Advertising Location

Start with customer behavior, not social-media follower count. Look for steady in-person traffic, times when customers wait or sit, and a board position that can be viewed comfortably without blocking the business.

Useful first-pass indicators include Google review volume, Popular Times, peak periods and typical visit duration when available. These are estimates, not verified door counts, so they should be combined with an in-person look at the space.

The best location also fits the advertiser's service area. A Henderson home-service company may gain more relevant visibility from a well-matched Henderson restaurant than from a higher-traffic venue across the valley.
