Free Community Boards for Las Vegas Restaurants: What Hosts Should Know
A community board can give a restaurant a practical place to share specials, events and announcements without requiring the business to purchase the board. Excel Local Media customizes the display for the host location, while a limited group of local sponsors supports the advertising section.
What does the host restaurant receive?
The host receives a custom 24-by-36-inch board with the restaurant's branding at the top and a large writable area in the center. That center space belongs to the host and can be updated for daily specials, seasonal menus, live entertainment, holiday hours, catering information or neighborhood announcements.
Six smaller sponsor positions appear below the writable area. Excel Local Media coordinates those positions, sponsor artwork and upkeep, so the restaurant does not need to sell or manage the advertising.
Why can the board be provided at no cost?
Local sponsor businesses pay for the advertising positions. That sponsorship supports the cost of producing and managing the board, allowing the restaurant or other approved host location to receive it without purchasing it.
There is no need for a host to promise sponsors a particular number of views, leads or sales. Advertising exposure varies by location, customer flow and placement.
What makes a strong host location?
A good host is usually an independent or locally controlled restaurant, café, breakfast spot, pizza shop or neighborhood business where customers spend time inside. A visible waiting, ordering or seating area can be more useful than a location where people enter and leave immediately.
Excel Local Media considers general customer activity, dwell time, sight lines, available floor space and whether an owner or authorized manager can approve placement. Google review volume and Popular Times may help with an initial evaluation, but they are estimates—not verified door counts.
Where should the board be placed?
The best position is easy for customers to see without blocking a walkway, door, ordering line or employee workspace. Entrances, waiting areas and spots near ordering or seating often deserve consideration.
The host and Excel Local Media confirm placement before production. Any landlord or property restrictions should also be addressed before installation.
What information is needed to get started?
Before a board is produced, the host should provide its legal or business name, location address, authorized contact, phone number, email address and a high-resolution logo. The team will also confirm brand colors, placement and preferred installation times.
A proper logo file produces a cleaner result than a screenshot taken from social media. If good artwork is not immediately available, it is better to locate the original file before final production.
